Rock n’ Roll High School: This is a 1950s film gone insane. A young rock and roller marshals her associates to battle the repression of new principal Miss Togar. An irresistible, high-effort comedy set to a continuous soundtrack of Ramones music (and a few oldies). P.J. Soles is amazing as the group’s number one fan, Riff Randell. Cast includes P. J. Soles, Vincent Minivan Patten, Clint Howard, Dey Youthful, the Ramones, Mary Woronov, Paul Bartel, and Alix Elias. (93 minutes, 1979)
The In Laws: Everyone-and you all know who you are. Don’t try this at home! Unrated rendition runs 93. Cast includes Peter Falk, Alan Arkin, Richard Libertini, and Nancy Dussault. (103 minutes, 1964)
Miami Vice: Miami investigators Crockett and Tubbs are back from the fashionable 1980s Television succession, although this time their search for a cruel medication lord takes them to Medial and South America and Crockett chases an implausible relation with the medication king’s seductive business companion. Wonderful-cool automobiles, boats, and jets keep this fantasy rendition of cops-and-robbers very exciting. Cast includes Jamie Foxx, Colin Farrell, Gong Li, Naomi Harris, Justin Theroux, Barry Shabaka Henley, Luis Tosar, and John Ortiz. (134 minutes, 2006)
Austin Powers: International Mystery: 1960′s secret agent is being brought out of cryogenics now to battle his nemesis, Dr. Evil. Bringing up The Wind reveals Zany antics from an off-beat group of students at a London school of music are well paced. The Cast includes James Robertson, Leslie Phillips, Sidney James, Paul Massie, and Kenneth Williams. (91 minutes, 1961)
Metropolis: A secluded investigator and his nephew track a suspect to futuristic Metropolis, meet a bizarre gal who is really an extremely commanding android, and decipher a structure by a armed forces leader who plans to take over the city. This is an amazing Japanese animated movie with a primordial tale empowered by Fritz Lang’s classic film. It is written by Katsuhiro Otomo Akira, based on a visual novel by Osamu Tezuka Astro Boy. Rich backdrops balance with cartoon looking steel characters, although dramatic storytelling and commanding visuals defeat film’s shortcomings. Cast includes Kei Kobayashi, Kohki Okada, Taro Ishida, and Kousei Tomita. (106 minutes, 2001)
Star Trek: Nemesis: The Romulans have a new leader in power. Since they are the closest starship in the area, the Enterprise is sent to the neutral zone to speak with Preator, the new Romulan leader. He has told the Federation he wants a peace treaty. When the Enterprise arrives they find themselves in the middle of a situation that could lead to the destruction of Earth.
Beetlejuice: When Adam and Barbara meet their unlikely death in a car accident, they return home but are only ghosts in their house. When a new family is set to move in, they try to scare them off. Failing miserably they enlist the services of Beetlejuice, a people remover, to rid the home of these living people.
Danger Route: Appearance in both senses of the word of Lynley and Bouchet gives a little increase to a normal spy story with few structure twirls. Cast includes Richard Johnson, Carol Lynley, Barbara Bouchet, Sylvia Sims, Diana Dors, Harry Andrews, Gordon Jackson, and Sam Wanamaker. (90 minutes, 1968)
